Equipment & Facilities

Equipment & Facilities

Here at Churchcroft we want to provide the best possible care for your pet. Consequently, we continuously invest in the latest equipment to assist in safe, fast, accurate and minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment.

As well as all the standard equipment expected in veterinary practice, Churchcroft's other equipment includes:

High power dental machine with built in fibre optics.

For accurate and efficient dental attention for dogs, cats and rabbits.

Digital X-ray.

Digital x-ray allows lower radiation doses, better image manipulation to improve diagnosis and avoids unpleasant chemical release into the environment.

Ultrasound with colour doppler imaging.

This machine allows us to examine inside organs to see how their structure compares to normal. The colour doppler allows us to watch the blood flow and see if there is any blockage or leakage.

ECG.

Electrocardiogram for detailed information about the heart's rhythm.

Endoscope with biopsy and foreign body forceps.

This is a flexible camera which can be inserted up to 1 and a half meters to examine the inside of the digestive and respiratory tracts. Biopsies can be obtained and foreign bodies can be removed without the need for surgery.

Pulse Oximiter

For monitoring blood oxygen saturation levels during surgery and strength and rate of the pulse

Doppler Ultrasonic Blood Pressure Meter

This is useful for checking cats and dogs for high blood pressure, which can cause blindness and other problems. It is also used during anaesthesia to ensure blood pressure is adequately maintained.

Tonovet Eye Pressure Meter

This machine assesses the pressure inside the eyeball to check for glaucoma and uveitis (inflammation in the middle of the eye). Our machine is so advanced it does not even cause blinking and can be used in all species.

What Our Customers Think

George has been treating my dog, Buddie, over the last few months and has shown compassion and caring towards him and was genuinely interested in ensuring his recovery. Would highly recommend George and all the staff at Churchcroft.

Helen Jarvis

We were lucky to have Churchcroft recommended to us over 5 years ago when Daisy joined us as a puppy. When we rescued Lacey we never expected to spend so much time with you. Lacey could not have had better care than that which she received from everyone associated with Churchcroft. Although the outcome was not what we wanted the extra time that she had with us was down to the expert vetinary care she received. We can never thank you enough for the care and compassion shown to her, Daisy and us h...
