Harry is a 13 year old black Labrador with severe osteoarthritis in his elbow. His walks were short and painful despite being on painkillers, but he still enjoyed sniffing and pottering. A stranger passed him on his walk one day and told his owner they should put him down- just look at him now is all I am going to say!
We discussed various option with Harry’s owner and decided on a Polyacrylamide Hydrogel injection (PAAG) into his elbow joint. Harry had not wanted to play with his toys and hadn’t shown true joy in a long while. Harry is now wanting to not only go on longer and longer walks as his fitness improves but he is Loving his walks, he invites play, is happier in himself and expresses joy for life.
