Pet Passports – Taking Your Pet Abroad?
We are Official Veterinary Inspectors appointed by DEFRA and allowed to issue Animal Health Certificates (AHC).
The AHC scheme allows you to take your dog, cat or ferret in and out of many countries with little ado. Once you have travelled once with an AHC you will find it straightforward enough.
Arranging Animal Health Certificates is a more complex issue than the EU Pet Passport scheme. However we have a lot of experience in this field and we can help to ensure your pet’s travel documents are prepared with as little stress for you as possible.
There are different regulations for different countries and some of the requirements take several weeks to fulfil, so we advise that you get in touch as soon as you are considering travel. Please read our blog, ensure you plan ahead and make an appointment to see George for an AHC!
In addition, there are important, life threatening parasites in many of the other countries that you must ensure your pet is protected against. We can help you plan how best to avoid these.
We can also issue export health certificates for pets traveling to countries outside of the Pet Passport Scheme. Please contact us as soon as you are considering travel to these countries.

George has been treating my dog, Buddie, over the last few months and has shown compassion and caring towards him and was genuinely interested in ensuring his recovery. Would highly recommend George and all the staff at Churchcroft.
We were lucky to have Churchcroft recommended to us over 5 years ago when Daisy joined us as a puppy. When we rescued Lacey we never expected to spend so much time with you. Lacey could not have had better care than that which she received from everyone associated with Churchcroft. Although the outcome was not what we wanted the extra time that she had with us was down to the expert vetinary care she received. We can never thank you enough for the care and compassion shown to her, Daisy and us h…
